Inheritance law can be defined as the rules governing the status of the assets and liabilities of the inheritable assets and other legal relations to the end of the death of the inheritor. The concept of active and passive is important in this regard, and the inheritance of the inheritance principle is adopted in our legal system, inheritors in case of inheritance, such as movable immovable can take over the rights as well as the debts to be transferred to them if they are personally responsible for these debts. Another issue is who can be heir and the German-based clan system, which is also applied in countries such as Switzerland and Germany, has been adopted in Turkish Law.
