2019 Rent Increase Rates


September 2019 CPI (Consumer Price Index) – PPI (Domestic Producer Price Index) Rates were determined by the Turkish Statistical Institute.

According to Article 344 of the Turkish Code of Obligations; if no agreement has been made by the parties, the rental fee will be determined on the condition that it does not exceed the rate of change in the consumer price index of the previous rental year according to the twelve-month average; The rental increase rate for September 2019 was 18.27%.

According to the announced data, the new rates are as follows.

September 2019 Inflation (CPI – PPI) Rates Determined

September 2019 CPI (Consumer Price Index) – PPI (Domestic Producer Price Index) Rates were determined by the Turkish Statistical Institute. According to the announced data, the new rates are as follows:

For CPI D-PPI rates for previous dates, please see Inflation Rates (WPI – PPI – CPI Rates) in our Important Information folder.* According to the paragraph added to Law No. 5429 by Article 14 of Law No. 6527 dated 26.02.2014, “References made to the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI) in various legislation shall be deemed to be made to the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) calculated by the Institution, and references made to the agricultural sector WPI and PPI shall be deemed to be made to the Agricultural Products Producer Price Index.”

** For situations without special provisions, the CPI rate determined according to the 12-month average is taken as basis in the rent increase rate according to Article 344 of the Turkish Code of Obligations.
